The honorary members

The Misterio de Obanos Foundation decided in 2001 to create the figure of “honorary member”, as well as to offer this distinction to all the Autonomous Communities linked to the Camino de Santiago, in whose historical framework the legend of San Guillén and Santa Felicia comes to life, more popularly known as the Mystery of Obanos.

The condition of “honorary member” grants its holders the right to participate with voice and without vote in the meetings of the Board of the Foundation, as well as to assume the commitment to carry out a task of disseminating this popular representation in the respective spheres. territorial.

In March 2002 practically all the Autonomous Communities linked to the Camino de Santiago officially accepted to join the Foundation as “honorary members” of it.

The honorary members of the Obanos Mystery Foundation are the following:

  • Person representing the Government of the Autonomous Community of Navarra.
  • Person representing the Xunta de Galicia.
  • Person representing the Government of the Community of Aragon.
  • Person representing the Government of the Community of La Rioja.
  • Person representing the Government of the Community of Cantabria.
  • Person representing the Government of the Community of Castilla-León.
  • Person representing the Government of the Community of the Basque Country.
